There’s No Problem! This year, the Youth Amateur Stage’s annual devised theatre project for this year, is inspired by the burning problem of peer violence known as bullying. The idea originates not only from the emotions of the young creators and the incidence of such cases in media but also from the fact that such peer violence has significantly increased over the last couple of years. The measures prepared by institutions do not match the seriousness of the problem, in certain cases, they even intensify the distress. The creators use different theatre methods to ask questions: Why does this behaviour happen? What are the reasons for their outbursts and do we have the power to prevent them? How can seemingly innocent teasing lead to brutal confrontations? And how do young people, who are only just finding their place in the world, enter this world of intimidation, insults, gibes and social exclusion based on their Otherness?
